Hostess

Job Description

We are looking for a friendly, well-presented, and professional Hostess to join our team. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a key role in delivering a welcoming and memorable experience. You will greet guests, manage reservations, and coordinate seating arrangements to ensure smooth service flow.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet guests with a warm and welcoming attitude upon arrival.
• Manage the waitlist and reservations using a seating chart or booking software.
• Escort guests to their tables and present menus.
• Communicate wait times and accommodate special requests when possible.
• Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to optimize seating and service flow.
• Answer phone calls and respond to guest inquiries courteously and professionally.
• Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the front-of-house area.
• Handle guest complaints or concerns promptly, escalating to management as needed.
• Assist with basic administrative tasks and support team operations when necessary.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience as a hostess or in a customer-facing role is a plus.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure.
• Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Familiarity with reservation systems (e.g., OpenTable, Resy) is an advantage.
