Our client, a leading construction company, is seeking a highly experienced and qualified individual to fill the position of General Manager. Experience: Minimum 15 years UAE Experience in Construction and Contracting company. Roads and Bridges experience is a must.Industry: Construction Company
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and implement business strategies to drive growth, profitability, and operational excellence across transportation, leasing, and construction sectors.
- Lead cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with company goals and objectives.
Operational Management:
- Design and implement organizational development strategies to enhance workforce capabilities, promote continuous learning, and drive innovation.
- Establish and maintain robust administrative systems to streamline workflows, enhance productivity, and ensure smooth operations across different departments
- Oversee daily operations, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and quality standards in all business activities.
- Optimize resource allocation and project timelines to ensure timely delivery of services and projects.
Financial Oversight:
- Manage budgets, forecasts, and financial performance to meet revenue and profitability targets.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining operational efficiency.
Strategic Development:
- Identify new market opportunities and foster relationships with key stakeholders and government entities.
- Expand the company's market presence and build long-term partnerships.
Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, safety standards, and industry best practices.
- Proactively manage risks to protect the company's reputation and assets.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture (mandatory); an MBA is a plus.
Experience:
- Proven track record of 15+ years in senior management roles within construction industries.
- Extensive experience managing large-scale operations and multi-disciplinary teams.
Languages: Fluency in Arabic (mandatory); English proficiency required.
Skills:
- Strong leadership, negotiation, and decision-making abilities.
- Exceptional analytical and financial acumen.
- Comprehensive knowledge of UAE laws and regulations related to transportation and construction.
Candidate with experience in Bridges, Roads and contracting is mandatory.
