The RoleThis position partners closely with stakeholders across the business to provide clear, practical compliance guidance. Reporting to the Head of Compliance, the role focuses on supporting the business in meeting regulatory expectations while contributing to the ongoing development and enhancement of the overall compliance framework.
Key ResponsibilitiesAct as a trusted compliance advisor to the business, providing practical guidance on regulatory requirements, conduct, and data protection mattersPartner with product, technology, and commercial teams to ensure compliance is embedded into new initiatives, change programmes and customer journeysInterpret and apply regulatory expectations and internal policies across a range of business activitiesSupport the development and enhancement of a risk-based compliance framework, including monitoring and assurance activitiesProvide constructive challenge on business decisions where regulatory or conduct risks ariseAssist in identifying, assessing, and escalating compliance risks, issues, and breaches where appropriateSupport regulatory engagement activities, including submissions, queries, and supervisory interactionsContribute to the development of compliance policies, procedures, and governance standardsPromote a strong culture of compliance, ethics, and accountability across the organisation
RequirementsMinimum of 10 years compliance experience within financial services, ideally in advisory or business-facing rolesExperience in fintech, digital banking, payments, or similarly regulated environments is highly desirableStrong understanding of regulatory frameworks, conduct risk, and data protection requirementsProven ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders across business and technology teamsExperience supporting or developing compliance frameworks, controls, and governance structuresStrong analytical skills with the ability to translate regulatory requirements into practical, business-friendly guidanceComfortable operating in fast-paced, evolving, and high-growth environments
