GENERAL SUMMARY
The IT Manager is responsible for the overall planning, implementation, management, and continuous improvement of Information Technology systems supporting Facility Management operations.
This role encompasses enterprise IT infrastructure, network management, cybersecurity, business applications (including CAFM/CMMS), and system integrations, ensuring secure, reliable, and efficient IT services across all managed facilities.
The IT Manager will ensure that IT systems support operational excellence, business continuity, and compliance with organizational policies, contractual obligations, and service level agreements (SLAs).
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSA. IT Infrastructure & Network Management
- Design, implement, and manage IT infrastructure including servers, networks, storage, and cloud environments.
- Ensure high availability, performance, and security of LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi networks, and connectivity across all facilities.
- Monitor and maintain network performance, uptime, and capacity planning.
- Manage firewalls, VPNs, and network security controls.
- Manage and support all business-critical applications including:
- CAFM / CMMS systems
- ERP systems (if applicable)
- Building systems (BMS, access control, CCTV, etc.)
- Ensure proper system configuration, upgrades, and lifecycle management.
- Oversee user access control, roles, and system security.
- Administer and optimize CAFM / CMMS platforms including:
- Asset management
- Preventive maintenance
- Work order management
- Reporting and dashboards
- Ensure seamless integration between CAFM and other systems (ERP, IoT, BMS).
- Support digitalization initiatives within facility operations.
- Manage system integrations between:
- CAFM / CMMS
- ERP systems
- Building management systems (BMS)
- IoT and smart building technologies
- Oversee API integrations, middleware, and data exchange processes.
- Implement and enforce cybersecurity policies and best practices.
- Ensure protection of IT systems against threats, vulnerabilities, and unauthorized access.
- Manage endpoint security, patch management, and vulnerability assessments.
- Ensure compliance with data protection and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and maintain backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity plans.
- Conduct regular testing and validation of recovery procedures.
- Ensure critical systems availability during emergencies.
- Provide technical support to facility operations and business users.
- Establish and manage IT service desk processes.
- Monitor system performance and proactively resolve issues.
- Ensure SLA compliance for IT services.
- Manage IT vendors, system integrators, and service providers.
- Evaluate vendor performance and ensure adherence to SLAs.
- Support procurement of IT systems and services.
- Participate in IT budgeting, cost control, and financial planning.
- Develop and execute IT strategy aligned with KUFM objectives.
- Identify opportunities for automation and digital transformation.
- Lead, supervise, and mentor IT team members.
- Assign tasks and manage daily IT operations.
- Conduct performance evaluations and staff development plans.
- Identify training requirements and ensure skill development.
- Support recruitment and onboarding of IT personnel.
- Ensure IT systems support health, safety, and critical infrastructure requirements.
- Maintain compliance with safety standards and regulatory frameworks.
- Support emergency systems and critical facility operations.
- Participate in risk assessments and compliance audits.
- Maintain effective coordination with all departments and stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, standards, and procedures.
- Support uninterrupted facility operations through reliable IT services.
- Maintain documentation for IT systems, processes, and configurations.
- Participate in system upgrades, migrations, and digital transformation initiatives.
- Support internal and external audits.
- Conduct user training sessions and awareness programs.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
