Provide engineering support and technical expertise to Operating Plants & Pipeline, Major Projects and Technical projects related to piping discipline through all phases of projects and ensure the reliability, availability, and maintainability of Piping systems.u00A0

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Provide technical support / services in the area of Piping Engineering to Sites and Projects Group through RTS (Request for Technical Services)u00A0u00A0
• Develop and write the Statement of Requirements (SOR) for new projects and ensures its co-ordination with operators/sponsors. Develop and elaborate the Scope of Work (SOW) for consultants.u00A0u00A0
• Design in-house engineered works including drawings, specifications/ data sheets and bills of quantities as required and ensure that state-of-the-art technology is applied in the selection of piping materials and piping systems.u00A0
• Review / prepare Piping design basis, plot plans, piping layouts,u00A0 isometric drawings, and carry out stress analysis and material selection as required and ensure sound design and integrity of piping systems.u00A0
• Participate in HAZOP. Ensures cost-effective solutions and application of value added engineering throughout the duration of projects.u00A0u00A0
• Provide technical expertise support to project management activities through all phases of projects, Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Pre-commissioning, Commissioning and Hand-over of Project facilities to End Users.u00A0
• Assessment of Design deviation/ Concession request Authorizationu00A0 (DCA) (critical to HSE, integrity and production)u00A0 & Contractor Trend Notice(CTN)u00A0

• Perform technical studies in-house or manage technical studies through Engineering Consultants and provide technical reports with appropriate recommendations in line with the scope of RTS for Piping engineeringu00A0
• Review / approve drawings, specification, data sheets and other technical documents related to piping engineering for all types of projects.u00A0
• Ensure that the Consultants / Engineering Contractors designs are in accordance with the Scope of Work and facilities delivered to end-users are safe, reliable, operable & maintainable.u00A0

• Update and develop companyu2019s DGS (Design General Specifications), in order to take account of lessons learnt from projects, current practices, latest technology and changes in international codes / standardsu00A0
• Develop and Issue Company Design General Specifications (DGS), Standards, procedures and guidelines related to piping engineering for use in-house or by the Contractors with regard to projects undertaken.u00A0
• Ensure company Design General Specifications & Standards are updated, developed, maintained and implemented on all phases of Projects being executed by the Projects Group, in line with ADNOC guidelines and industry best practiceu00A0

• Participate in RCA (root cause analysis) related to piping systems failure, troubleshoot chronic plant problems and recommend solutionsu00A0
• Ensure that the repetitive failure of piping systems is eliminated / mitigated and that proposed solutions are designed to safeguard companyu2019s plant asset safety, integrity, maintainability and continuous operabilityu00A0

• Participate in the review and endorsement in order to prequalify suppliers, vendors, manufacturers, consultants in the area of pipingu00A0
• Ensure that suppliers, vendors, manufacturers, consultants under consideration are qualified and competent to supply goods / provide services to company.u00A0

• Plan, supervise and coordinate all activities in the assigned area to meet functional objectives.u00A0
• Train and develop the assigned staff on relevant skills to enable them to become proficient on the job and deliver the respective functional objectives.u00A0

• Provide input for preparation of the functional budgets and assist in the implementation of the approved Budget and work plans to deliver functional objectives.u00A0u00A0
• Investigate and highlight any significant variances to support effective performance and cost controlu00A0

• Implement approved Section / Team / Department policies, processes, systems, standards and procedures in order to support execution of the work programs in line with Company and International standards.u00A0

• Contribute to the achievement of the approved Performance Objectives for the function in line with the Company Performance framework.u00A0

• Design and implement new tools and techniques to improve the quality and efficiency of operational processes.u00A0
• Identify improvements in internal processes against best practices in pursuit of greater efficiency in line with best Industry standards in order to define intelligent solutions for issues confronting the function.u00A0

• Comply with relevant HSE policies, procedures & controls and applicable legislation and sustainability guidelines in line with international standards, best practices and ADNOC Code of Practices.u00A0

• Provide inputs to prepare MIS and progress reports for Company Management.u00A0

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

u00A0

• Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent professional qualification.u00A0

• 8 years of experience in piping engineering within a large Engineering Companies, preferably in the Oil and Gas industry.u00A0
• Good knowledge in engineering & technical support to Pipeline Operations and technical projects related to pipeline engineering in oil and gas industry.u00A0
• Good knowledge in piping design and engineering, selection of piping and valve materials, complying to code requirement in oil and gas industry.u00A0
• Familiarity of international design codes and standards, procurement, construction, pre- commissioning / commissioning and maintenance of Piping in Oil & Gas.u00A0
• Good knowledge in Pipeline Stress Analysis. Familiar with Piping Stress analysis software like CEASER, Auto Pipe, etc.u00A0
• Familiarity of the capabilities and shortcomings of piping related contractors / manufacturers, and a proven track record of conducting technical and commercial negotiations with them.u00A0
• Awareness in HAZOP for system examination and risk management.u00A0
• Planning and Organizing, Scheduling and Coordinating, Checking, Examining and Recording.u00A0
