Job Purpose

Responsible for overseeing and managing all financial aspects of a project from inception to completion. Ensuring that the project adheres to its financial goals, stays within budget, and maintains proper cash flow management throughout its lifecycle.

Monitoring and control project costs, prepare financial reports, provide analysis, and ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies. Collaboration with project managers, senior leadership, and internal stakeholders to provide accurate financial insights, ensuring effective risk management, and contribute to the projects overall financial success.

Key Accountabilities
  • Develop and monitor the projects budget in effective collaboration with Project Managers and other stakeholders
  • Ensure that the Projects Revenues & Costs are tracked accurately and align with financial budgets/forecasts.
  • Ensure Project Order Book/Contract Values is regularly maintained & reviewed for any changes in contract scope/billing structure.
  • Monitor Revenue, capital expenditures and headcounts and compare them to budgeted costs.
  • Monitor Open Purchase Orders
  • Report any financial discrepancies or risks to management and propose corrective actions.
  • Conduct detailed financial analysis to assess project profitability and identify any potential financial issues.
  • Forecast future costs and revenues, adjusting for potential risks or changes.
  • Compliance & Risk Management
  • Ensure project adherence to commercial terms & conditions and highlight associated risks
  • Identify Financial risks and Disputes and collaborate to develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Participate in Contract audit process (auditing financial aspects) as well as collaborate on internal audits ensuring that all necessary financial documents are provided.
  • Prepare monthly project financial statements and ensure that they are accurate and compliant with accounting standards.
  • Monitor Project specific processes and documents (compliance, purchasing, subcontracts, audits, insurance, project risks, etc.)
  • Serve as the liaison between project managers, senior executives, and external stakeholders, such as investors or financiers.
  • Ensure all stakeholders are informed about the projects financial status.
  • Present financial reports regularly to Excom & stakeholders.
  • Provides the Project Manager and his/her hierarchy with all necessary financial data and any information of possible consequence, act as a business partner of the Project Manager
  • Oversee cash flow management to ensure sufficient funds are available to meet project needs.
  • Monitoring Collections and Payments, DSO, Aging of AR and AP
  • Perform other related duties or assignments as directed
  • Abide by the Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality, (HSEQ) policy, procedures necessary for the good conduct and safety of the workplace. It is a requirement and moral obligation of each employee to be actively committed and accountable to the compliance of Enovas HSEQ policy, operating procedures, as well as being compliant to local legislation. The Employee shall seek clarification and guidance in specific cases or whenever one feels necessary.
Qualifications, Experiences, Skills
  • Master or professional degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field (MBA, ACCA or equivalent professional certification).
  • 3-5 years of related working experience in financial planning & analysis, accounting, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in project finance, budgeting, cost management, or financial analysis and strong accounting knowledge
  • Proficiency in financial software and Excel for data analysis . Experience in ERP systems (e.g., D365, Adaptive Insight) preferable
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving organizational and project management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Commitment and ability to meet activities deadlines
  • Business-partnering mindset; project management experience
  • Independently manage multiple tasks, projects and ability to prioritize
  • Advanced Excel / electronic spreadsheet skills; innovative.
