The Role
We are looking for a Sales Engineer to join our Export Sales / Projects team. This role will focus on driving project sales across export markets by combining strong technical expertise with commercial acumen. The position plays a critical role in supporting specifications, developing technical proposals, and engaging with customers to convert opportunities into successful sales outcomes.
This role requires a high level of ownership, independent execution, and the ability to manage complex project requirements while working closely with internal and external stakeholders.
What You Will Be Doing- Support project sales by identifying customer requirements and technical needs across export markets
- Deliver product presentations and demonstrations tailored to project specifications
- Prepare and present technical proposals, including drawings, compliance details, and pricing inputs
- Provide specification support to architects, consultants, and customers during project development
- Maintain strong technical knowledge across tiles, sanitaryware, and faucets product categories
- Collaborate with internal teams (sales, product, QA/QC, technical) to ensure smooth project execution
- Support sales closure through technical validation and customer confidence building
- Provide post-sales technical support, including site-level issue resolution and clarifications
- Track opportunities, maintain CRM/ERP updates, and support pipeline reporting and forecasting
- Contribute insights for business reviews and continuous improvement initiatives
What We Are Looking For
Some of the key competencies required for the role include:
Functional- Strong technical sales and specification management capability
- Solid understanding of product application within building materials (tiles, sanitaryware, faucets)
- Experience supporting project sales and working with consultants and contractors
- Proficiency in CRM tools, ERP systems, and MS Office
- Ability to translate technical concepts into customer-friendly solutions
- Strong presentation and communication skills
- Customer-centric with a problem-solving mindset
- Good influencing and stakeholder management skills
- Commercial awareness and negotiation ability
- Structured, proactive, and execution-focused
- Our Ideal Match
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- 68 years of experience in sales engineering or technical sales, preferably within ceramics, tiles, sanitaryware, faucets, or building materials industries
- Experience in project sales or specification-led environments
- Exposure to working with architects, consultants, and large-scale projects
- Fluency in English is mandatory; Arabic is an advantage
- Willingness to travel extensively (up to 50% regionally and internationally as required
