About the role
The Cafe Milano Demi Chef De Partie assists the chefs in the day-to-day operation of the kitchen and helps maintain a high standard and quality of food preparation.
What you will do- Prepare food according to standard procedures, recipe cards, photographs and given instructions.
- Assist the Chef de Partie to establish standard recipes and ensure compliance with them.
- Assist the Restaurant Chef, Sous Chef, Jr. Sous Chef and Chef de Partie in training associates.
- Participate in product development and in controlling the smooth operation of the kitchen.
- Ensure food quality, food taste, food presentation and food requisition; and proper sanitation procedures are followed and the kitchen is always clean, neat and tidy.
- Assist the Restaurant Chef, Sous Chef, Jr. Sous Chef and Chef de Partie in the day-to-day operation of the kitchen and help maintain a high standard of food preparation and presentation.
- Have full knowledge of Four Seasons food standards.
- Demonstrate and maintain at all times a professional behavior and positive attitude.
- Respond properly in any hotel emergency or safety situation.
- Perform other tasks or projects as assigned by Restaurant Chef or Sous Chef.
- A minimum of at least 2 to 3 years of experience in a similar role in a luxury brand.
- An outgoing personality and a can-do approach to assigned tasks.
- High level of understanding and knowledge of food and/or wine.
- Proficient in English (speaking, reading, writing).
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
