Senior Associate - Spend Review

Job Description

Objective:

Act as theday‑to‑day lead for assigned Spend Reviews, owning technical analysis, coordinating stakeholders, and driving delivery from data collection through final recommendations. The role combines deep analytical expertise with clear accountability for progress, coordination, and outputs.

Essential Duties:

• Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned Spend Reviews, coordinating across entities, internal teams, and advisors
• Own day‑to‑day delivery of the Spend Review, ensuring progress against agreed scope, milestones, and timelines
• Lead planning, sequencing, and coordination of analytical workstreams and data requests
• Manage interactions with entity counterparts to clarify requirements, follow up on data, and resolve issues
• Proactively identify delivery risks, dependencies, and bottlenecks, escalating where required with solutions
• Lead detailed financial, operational, and performance analysis for assigned Spend Reviews
• Analyze historical budgets, expenditure profiles, cost drivers, and operational efficiency
• Develop robust financial models to quantify savings options, reform impacts, and fiscal trade‑offs
• Perform scenario analysis, sensitivity testing, and option evaluation to support decision‑making
• Integrate strategic, operational, and financial insights into clear, evidence‑based findings
• Conduct benchmarking and comparative analysis across entities, sectors, or peer jurisdictions
• Prepare and structure high‑quality presentations, exhibits, and analytical outputs for senior audiences
• Draft core sections of Spend Review reports, framing notes, and executive briefing materials
• Ensure analytical outputs are accurate, well‑documented, and decision‑ready
• Review, validate, and quality‑assure analytical work produced by Analysts
• Maintain Spend Review trackers covering data requests, analysis status, decisions, and next steps
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of Spend Review methodologies, templates, and delivery tools
• Provide the necessary support to the line manager and perform any other related tasks assigned.

• Bachelor's degree or higher in the field of Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or its equivalent in related field.
• Professional certifications such as Certified Management Accountant (CMA) or Certified Financial Analyst (CFA) is preferred
