Senior Accountant
Job Description
Senior Accountant with a minimum of 15 years of professional accounting and financial management experience, currently based in Dubai. This role requires deep knowledge of UAE accounting standards, VAT/taxation laws, compliance frameworks, and financial reporting practices.Managing Inventory Management, Cash flow management.

The Senior Accountant will take ownership of end-to-end financial operations, compliance, and reporting while acting as a trusted advisor to leadership on financial planning, cost control, and risk management.
Key Objectives
Ensure accurate and compliant financial reporting in line with UAE regulations and international accounting standards.
Strengthen internal controls, audit readiness, and compliance across all financial operations.
Provide strategic financial insights to support decision-making by senior leadership.
Manage cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting to ensure financial stability.
Mentor and guide junior accountants, building a culture of accountability and excellence.
Responsibilities:
Lead day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, reconciliations, and payroll.
Oversee financial statements preparation (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow).
Ensure compliance with UAE VAT laws, corporate tax, and other regulatory requirements.
Coordinate with internal and external auditors to ensure timely and accurate audits.
Develop and maintain financial policies, controls, and SOPs to safeguard company assets.
Manage budgeting and forecasting cycles in collaboration with department heads.
Conduct cost analysis and variance reporting to improve profitability.
Support leadership with financial modeling, risk assessment, and investment analysis.
Act as the point of contact for banks, auditors, and regulatory authorities.
Expertise in Inventory Management, Cash flow management.
Handle payment collection from clients and ensure timely follow-ups for outstanding dues.
Requirement for this position:
15+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, with at least 5 years in a senior accounting or finance management role in Dubai.
Strong knowledge of UAE accounting regulations, VAT, corporate tax, and IFRS standards.
Proven ability to manage end-to-end accounting operations in a corporate environment.
Expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
Hands-on experience with ERP and accounting software (e.g., Tally, SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, Zoho books).
Strong leadership and mentoring skills able to guide junior team members.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present financial insights to senior management.
