Role Description
We are seeking a full-time Product Manager to lead the consumer electronics category for the India market with a strong background (preferably from leading brands like boAt, Noise, Boult, Realme, etc.) to lead our India product strategy. This role will be an onsite role in Dubai and requires deep expertise in product development, global sourcing, certifications, and go-to-market execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Product Strategy & Development
- Define product roadmap aligned with India market trends and consumer demand.
- Identify high-potential categories (TWS, smartwatches, audio, accessories, etc.)
- Benchmark competitors and identify differentiation opportunities.
- Drive end-to-end product lifecycle from concept → sourcing → launch.
- Global Sourcing & Vendor Management
- Work closely with international OEM/ODM partners (primarily Asia-based) for product development.
- Negotiate pricing, MOQs, and timelines.
- Evaluate new factories and maintain supplier relationships.
- Ensure product quality and innovation alignment with global trends.
(Exposure to Asian manufacturing ecosystems is highly preferred; ability to coordinate with international vendors is essential)
Certifications & Compliance (Critical)- Manage product certifications required for India:
○ BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards).
○ WPC (Wireless Planning & Coordination).
○ Bluetooth SIG (if applicable).
○ CE, FCC (for global compatibility where needed).- Coordinate with labs, vendors, and regulatory bodies to ensure timely approvals.
- Collaborate with marketing for product positioning, pricing, and launch strategy.
- Work with e-commerce platforms (Amazon, Flipkart, etc.) for listing optimization.
- Define USP, packaging content, and feature communication.
- Work with supply chain, operations, and sales teams to ensure smooth product availability
- Coordinate with design teams for packaging, branding, and product aesthetics
- Analyze product performance and drive continuous improvements
- 3–7 years experience in consumer electronics product management.
- Strong preference for candidates from brands like boAt, Noise, Boult, Realme, etc.
- Strong understanding of global sourcing and vendor ecosystems.
- Hands-on experience with product certifications (BIS, WPC, etc.).
- Strong commercial acumen (pricing, margins, competition benchmarking).
- Experience launching products on Amazon / Flipkart / D2C channels.
- Exposure to audio products, wearables, or mobile accessories.
- Experience working with Asia-based manufacturing partners.
- Existing network with OEM/ODM vendors.
- Understanding of packaging, branding, and Indian consumer behavior.
