Job summary

As a junior accountant, you will assist with financial record-keeping, reporting, and reconciliations. The role requires accuracy, proficiency in accounting tools, and the ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment.

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field
• 2u20133 years of accounting experience, preferably in insurance or financial services, though not mandatory
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
• Familiarity with insurance terminology and processes is a plus
• High accuracy and strong attention to detail
• Adaptable and eager to learn in a dynamic environment

• Record financial transactions: accurately log daily financial activities, including premiums, claims, and commissions
• Manage general ledger and reconciliations: prepare and maintain general ledger entries, journal entries, and conduct regular bank reconciliations
• Process accounts payable and receivable: support efficient processing of invoices and receipts for timely payments and collections
• Aid in financial reporting: assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Reconcile system data: perform reconciliations between policy administration systems and core financial systems
• Organize financial documentation: maintain an organized filing system for all financial and insurance-related documents
• Support audits: provide necessary documentation and explanations to auditors during internal and external audits
• Ensure compliance: uphold adherence to internal controls, accounting policies, and relevant regulatory standards
