Interactive Brokers Operator

Job Description

We are looking for a hands-on Interactive Brokers Operator who lives inside Interactive Brokers (TWS) and can execute our strategies with speed, accuracy, and discipline. This is not a research or pure back-office role; you will sit on the desk, run orders, monitor markets in real time, and own the full trade lifecycle.

• Log in to Interactive Brokers (TWS) daily and execute orders across equities, ETFs, futures and FX according to predefined strategies and risk limits
• Monitor global markets, prices, liquidity and slippage in real time; time entries/exits and escalate when conditions change
• Manage full trade lifecycle: order entry, monitoring, fills, allocations, amendments, cancellations and end-of-day checks
• Reconcile trades, positions, cash and P&L between IBKR and internal records, resolving breaks with brokers and operations where needed
• Generate and maintain daily reports on trades, exposures, performance and any operational incidents
• Monitor basic automated/algorithmic orders in IBKR, flag anomalies, and work with senior traders/tech to improve execution quality
• Ensure all activity complies with internal risk policies and relevant regulatory requirements in the UAE and abroad
• Provide basic market colour and execution feedback to portfolio managers (slippage, fills, liquidity, routing issues)

Requirements

• 2-5 years of experience in a trading, execution or dealing role (buy-side, prop trading, brokerage, or multi-asset CFD/FX broker)
• Direct, hands-on experience using Interactive Brokers (TWS and Client Portal) for live trading; you should be comfortable operating IBKR without supervision
• Strong understanding of order types (market, limit, stop, bracket, OCO), margin, corporate actions and basic risk concepts (exposure, leverage, drawdown)
• Solid knowledge of at least one asset class (equities or ETFs as a core), plus familiarity with futures and FX; options knowledge is a plus but not mandatory
• High attention to detail and accuracy under time pressure; proven record of minimizing errors in a live trading environment
• Comfortable working evening or split shifts to cover all trading hours when required. Multi Role's will be hired to manage this
• Proficient with Excel; experience with basic VBA/Python/reporting tools is an advantage
• Strong communication skills in English; additional languages are a plus

• Experience in a high-frequency, systematic or prop trading environment
• Prior exposure to brokerage operations, trade support or reconciliation for multi-asset trading
• Experience in GCC or other emerging markets
