Network Solutions Manager

Job Description

Reports To: Head of Optical Solutions / Regional Director

Job Summary:

Ideal candidates will combine strong technical acumen with strategic business insight and regional experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Market Insights & Opportunity Identification:
• Conduct thorough market analysis across the ME&CA region to uncover trends, emerging technologies, and customer demands in the optical networking domain.
• Identify scalable opportunities for growth, aligned with company strategy and local regulations.
• Customer Engagement & Proposal Development:
• Engage with telecom carriers and service providers to assess business goals and network evolution strategies.
• Develop customized proposals and technical solutions that address both short-term and long-term customer requirements.
• Project Leadership & Operations Planning:
• Lead solution domain initiatives including 10G/50G PON, FTTR, DWDM/OTN, OXC, and ASON-based architectures.
• Define and implement annual operational plans, track KPIs, and ensure timely delivery of milestones.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure smooth delivery and post-sales support.
• Documentation & Reporting:
• Maintain detailed documentation of project activities, business cases, solution blueprints, and milestone achievements.
• Provide regular updates and reports to senior management and key stakeholders.

Professional Requirements:

• 510 years of experience in the fixed network domain, with deep expertise in Optical Access and WDM technologies.
• Hands-on experience in solution planning and deployment of:

• Proven ability to drive market development initiatives and execute regional projects in collaboration with internal and external partners.
• Knowledge of local telecom regulations, standards, and industry compliance requirements across Bahrain, UAE, and broader ME&CA region.

Business & Interpersonal Skills:

• Exceptional communication and presentation skills; capable of interfacing effectively with both technical stakeholders (CTO teams) and business leaders (CBO, CCO, etc.).
• Fluent in English and Arabic, both spoken and written.
• Strong analytical thinking, customer-oriented mindset, and solution-driven approach.
• Collaborative, proactive, and capable of working independently or in multi-cultural, cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor&aposs or Masters degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Vendor-side or operator-side experience within global telecom OEMs such as Nokia, FiberHome, Ciena, Zhone/DZS, or similar.
• Certifications or training in optical technologies or solution architecture (e.g., MEF, ITU, IEEE standards).

Travel Requirements:

• Willingness to travel across the ME&CA region for client meetings, network assessments, or project coordination, as needed.
