Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Air Ambulance Doctor to provide critical care during air medical transport missions. The ideal candidate must be capable of handling high-pressure situations, performing life-saving interventions in-flight, and ensuring continuity of care from bedside to destination.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Assessment & Transfer Planning:
Evaluate patient conditions to determine the most appropriate mode and level of transfer.
Provide medical oversight during pre-transfer assessments and flight preparations.
Ensure patient safety and stability during transport operations.
Medical Team Leadership & Training:
- Prepare, coordinate, and supervise the companys medical team for air ambulance operations.
- Train paramedics and junior medical staff in in-flight emergency protocols, equipment handling, and patient care procedures.
- Establish training programs and maintain clinical standards.
Healthcare Network & Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with hospitals, medical professionals, and healthcare institutions to facilitate smooth operations and referrals.
- Represent the company at medical events, seminars, and in the broader medical community.
Medical Documentation & Compliance:
- Ensure complete, accurate, and timely documentation of all medical records related to patient transfers.
- Maintain compliance with national and international medical transport regulations and standards.
- Oversee medical audits and quality assurance processes.
Team Expansion & Network Building:
- Create and maintain a network of qualified paramedics, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
- Assist in recruiting new team members and evaluating their suitability for air medical services.
Qualifications:
- MBBS or MD (Emergency Medicine, Anesthesiology, or Internal Medicine preferred)
- Valid medical license (DHA OR MOH)
- Minimum 3 years of critical care or emergency medicine experience
- BLS, ACLS, PALS certified
- Previous experience in aeromedical transport is highly desirable
- Strong decision-making and communication skills
- Willingness to travel and work flexible hours, including short-notice deployments
