Job Description

We're excited to be partnering with a leading institution in the UAE that is building a digital-first, AI-enabled financial services organisation from the ground up. This is a unique opportunity to join at an early stage and help shape the finance, regulatory reporting, and financial control capabilities of a business with significant institutional backing and long-term ambition.

If you're passionate about regulatory reporting, financial governance, IFRS reporting, and building scalable reporting frameworks within a highly regulated environment, we'd love to hear from you.

As Regulatory & Financial Reporting Lead, you will be responsible for establishing and leading the organisation's regulatory and financial reporting capability from day one. Working closely with Finance, Risk, Treasury, and senior leadership teams, you'll play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely regulatory submissions, IFRS-compliant financial reporting, and the development of robust reporting controls, processes, and governance frameworks that support growth and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own and deliver the full suite of regulatory reporting submissions, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.
  • Lead the preparation of quarterly financial statements in accordance with IFRS requirements.
  • Manage regulatory filing calendars, submission controls, governance processes, and audit trails.
  • Oversee reporting across capital adequacy, liquidity, credit, statistical reporting, and regulatory disclosures.
  • Partner with Risk teams on IFRS 9 expected credit loss (ECL) reporting, disclosures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Reconcile regulatory returns to financial statements and the general ledger, ensuring a single, auditable source of truth.
  • Support ICAAP, ILAAP, and other supervisory submissions with accurate capital and liquidity reporting inputs.
  • Build scalable reporting capabilities, leveraging automation, analytics, and AI-enabled reporting processes where appropriate.

Key requirements:

8+ years of regulatory and financial reporting experience within banking or financial services.

Strong expertise in regulatory returns, financial reporting, submission control, and reporting governance.

Deep knowledge of CBUAE prudential and statistical reporting requirements.

Strong understanding of IFRS financial statements and IFRS 9 expected credit loss requirements.

Experience building or improving regulatory reporting frameworks, controls, and processes within a regulated environment.

Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage effectively across Finance, Risk, Treasury, Audit, and regulators.

ACA, ACCA, CPA, or similar accounting qualification preferred.

UAE banking experience is required.
