Job purpose
Supports TL-OS in planning, managing and coordinating activities to ensure that production and injection targets are achieved, field operations are conducted safely and efficiently in accordance with company policies. Meet division objectives, KPIs, standards.

Job specific accountabilities
Monitoring of operations- Participates in the planning, coordination and recommendation of long and short-term production programs. Attend departmental meetings, discussing existing field capacities, capabilities, conditions of plant and equipment and time constraints, to decide in conjunction with other departments on an appropriate production and maintenance compliance programs.
- Reviews operating history data, analyses chronic failures and problems, participates in root cause analysis and helps to develop recovery strategies for the implementation of upgrades and modifications to improve reliability.
- Leads monthly operational planning and coordinates with site operations team for all day-to-day activities. Plans and coordinates all field shutdown plans and liaises with SAP coordinator to plan all PM activities.
- Implements surveillance standards for continuous optimization under manual and remote monitoring systems in the assets.
- Supports assets in determining opportunities for production for surface-subsurface integration and flow assurance.
- Identifies production optimization challenges across all assets and required strategic technologies.
- Captures production optimization related lessons learned and best practices and ensures they are implemented in future projects.
- Participates and evaluates new technologies, tools or techniques and decides on their suitability.
- Coordinates with internal and external stakeholders to ensure accurate planning and execution of company's crude oil lifting.
- Reports crude oil lifting program to shareholders based on production targets, stock inventories and shareholders equities, in coordination with ADNOC Onshore Oil & Gas Movement and Terminals Teams.
- Plans and coordinates all activities at work site to meet operations objectives.
- Trains and develops the assigned staff on relevant skills to enable them to become proficient on the job and deliver the respective section objectives.
- Assists in the coordination work with projects and engineering team regarding the short- and long-term planning of the division's activities.
- Develops and manages the department annual budget in line with the division's business objectives and operational plans ensuring that adequate funding provision is made for all department activities.
- Monitors expenditure against approved department budget on a regular basis; investigates, highlights and reconciles any significant variances to ensure effective performance and cost control.
- Implements approved policies, processes, systems, standards and procedures in order to support execution of the work programs in line with company, ADNOC and international standards.
- Complies with all applicable legislation and legal regulations.
- Contributes to the achievement of the approved performance objectives for the section in line with the company performance framework.
- Designs and implements new tools and techniques to improve the quality and efficiency of operational processes.
- Identifies improvements in internal processes against best practices in pursuit of greater efficiency in line with ISO standards in order to define intelligent solutions for issues confronting the function.
- Understands and promotes the company's health, safety & environmental policy and objectives; performs work in accordance with the company's established rules, regulations and approved procedures.
- Demonstrates visible commitment to HSE by periodically leading and taking part in risk assessments, HSE audits, HSE meetings, emergency drills, HAZOPs, SIL classifications, etc.
- Ensures that all department MIS and progress reports are prepared to provide accurate and timely reports and necessary information to management for effectively managing the business.
- Contributes and supports the establishment of the operations, HSE and integrity risk management system, while identifying and assessing relevant domain risks and implements measures to manage and mitigate all identified risks within the department.
- Communicates corporate business ethics and company's code of conduct to employees within the department and ensures compliance to the corporate policies and guidelines.
Communications & working relationships
Internal- Reports directly to team leader - operations support, regular interface with projects, operations, maintenance, development and other discipline staff across the organization.
- Frequent contacts with shareholders' marketing representatives for effective planning and execution of crude oil lifting program.
- Contact with equivalent level employees within ADNOC group companies to exchange information and specific trends for business improvement and operational best practices.
- Occasional contacts with service contractors, suppliers and vendors, as required.
Qualifications, experience, knowledge & skills
Minimum qualification- Bachelor's degree in Chemical / Mechanical Engineering or equivalent degree.
- 12 - 15 years of experience in oil and gas operations, including crude oil inventory and lifting procedure.
- Preferably has good working knowledge on production operations and SMART field concept.
- Working knowledge of SAP / PIES / Hydrocarbon Accounting System.
- Pre-commissioning, commissioning, Installation, start-up of E&P facilities (wells, well pads, oil, gas & water injection facilities).
- Knowledge in distributed control system (DCS), FGS, ESD systems.
- Conversant with smart field technology for remote operations.
- Excellent knowledge of site workflows and plant processes.
- Very good knowledge of verbal and written English. Knowledge of Arabic is preferable.
- Excellent HSE appreciation and awareness.
- Proficient in use of MS applications, good IT skills.
