Job Description

GroupL is currently hiring Financial/Income Auditor who will be responsible for evaluating and enhancing the effectiveness of internal financial and operational controls. This role ensures adherence to internal policies and regulatory standards while promoting efficiency across departments.

The ideal candidate will bring strong financial expertise paired with a solid understanding of hospitality operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Audit & Compliance:

  • Perform regular internal audits across departments including finance, procurement, events, F&B, and front-of-house.
  • Assess the effectiveness of internal controls and suggest improvements.
  • Ensure full compliance with UAE accounting standards, VAT regulations, and internal policies.

Financial Review & Reporting:

  • Analyze financial records, ledgers, and expense reports to identify risks or discrepancies.
  • Compile audit findings and present actionable insights to management.
  • Coordinate with external auditors for statutory audits.

Risk Management:

  • Identify financial and operational risks and assess control mechanisms.
  • Monitor practices to prevent revenue leakage, inefficiencies, or fraud.

Process Improvement:

  • Recommend enhancements to drive cost control and revenue optimization.
  • Assist in rolling out best practices for budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning tailored to the hospitality industry.

Hospitality-Specific Oversight:

  • Audit F&B operations, banquet costing, vendor management, and procurement.
  • Ensure accurate and timely revenue recognition from event bookings, catering, and rentals.
  • Review inventory and cost control measures in event and catering functions.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
  • Professional certifications (CIA, CPA, ACCA) are preferred.

Experience:

  • 35 years of experience in internal audit or financial control.
  • Minimum 2 years within a hospitality or events-related environment is essential.

Skills:

  • Solid understanding of hospitality finance (e.g., F&B costing, procurement, event billing).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey findings clearly.
  • Familiarity with ERP and accounting systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, or industry-specific platforms).
