Role Summary
The Chief of Staff (CoS) acts as a strategic force multiplier for the CEO and the executive leadership team. This high-impact role manages the rhythm of the business, drives key cross- functional initiatives, and ensures that the executive's time and focus are directed toward the most critical strategic priorities.The CoS serves as a trusted advisor, executor, and organizational planner.
Core Responsibilities Strategic Alignment & Planning- Strategy Execution: Translate the executive vision and high-level strategy into concrete, actionable projects, goals, and communication plans for the organization.
- Business Rhythm Management: Own the executive operating cadence, including planning and facilitating effective executive team meetings, board meetings, all-hands meetings, and strategic off-sites.
- Prioritization: Act as a gatekeeper for the executive, helping to manage their schedule, bandwidth, and communication to ensure focus remains on top organizational priorities.
- Liaison: Serve as a primary point of coordination and communication between the executive office and internal stakeholders (e.g., department heads, project teams, legal, finance).
- Initiative Management: Drive and track progress on critical cross-functional projects that do not neatly fit within a specific department, ensuring accountability across teams.
- Reporting: Prepare materials for internal and external stakeholders, including board
- decks, investor updates, and operational reviews, ensuring consistent and clear messaging.
- Metrics & KPIs: Define, monitor, and report on key organizational performance indicators (KPIs) to provide the executive with a clear, data-driven view of the business health.
- Operational Improvement: Identify and implement processes, workflows, and tools that improve organizational efficiency, effectiveness, and scalability.
- Risk Mitigation: Conduct research and analysis on potential market opportunities, competitive threats, and organizational risks, providing objective insights to the CEO.
- Experience: 7+ years of professional experience, with a minimum of 3 years in a strategy, operations, consulting, or executive-level administrative role. Previous Chief of Staff experience is highly desirable.
- Education: Bachelor's degree required; an MBA or advanced degree in Business, Finance, or a related field is strongly preferred.
- Strategic & Analytical Skills: Proven ability to synthesize complex information, identify core issues, and develop clear, practical solutions. Must be highly skilled in data analysis and presentation.
- Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate strategy and influence diverse audiences, from the front line to the board room.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced proficiency with productivity tools (e.g., Microsoft Office/Google Suite) and familiarity with project management, CRM, and financial reporting systems.
