Senior Associate – Spend Review

Job Description

As a Senior Associate - Spend Review, you will collaborate closely with client stakeholders, analyze financial data, and provide valuable insights to drive informed decision-making.

Responsibilities:

• Support defining the yearly Spending Review calendar and its alignment with the overall budget cycle, in close coordination with the relevant teams of the Budget Sector.
• Suggest details of spending review proposals, including their rationale and wider implications.
• Support the process of defining KPIs and objectives.
• Stay abreast of relevant publications from leading institutions (e.g. World Bank, IMF, OECD) and factors relevant findings into Abu Dhabis Spending Review process.
• Support the integration of spending reviews within the budget process.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor&aposs degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. A master&aposs degree is preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial analysis, cost management, or management consulting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex financial data and identify cost optimization opportunities.
• Proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis, and visualization tools.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Strong project management abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and build relationships with clients and colleagues.
• Knowledge of industry-specific cost drivers and best practices in spend analysis and cost optimization.
• Professional certifications such as Certified Management Accountant (CMA) or Certified Financial Analyst (CFA) are desirable.
