Associate Director - Techno Functional Analyst – Risk Management

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and analytical Techno-Functional Analyst to serve as a critical interface between the Risk Management Department and the Technology Team. This role will focus on translating credit and risk policy requirements into technical specifications, configuring credit and other financial products, and ensuring alignment between risk frameworks and system implementations.

Key Responsibilities:

Liaison Role:

• Act as the primary bridge between Risk Management (Credit, Market, Liquidity, Operational Resilience) and Technology teams.
• Facilitate clear communication of business requirements and risk policies to technical stakeholders.

Product Configuration:

• Lead the configuration of all credit products and other financial offerings in risk systems.
• Ensure product setup aligns with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and risk appetite.

Requirements Gathering & Analysis:

• Collaborate with stakeholders across Credit Risk, Market Risk, Liquidity Risk, and Operational Resilience to gather functional requirements.
• Analyse and document business processes, risk policies, and product features.

Technical Specification Development:

• Translate business and risk requirements into detailed functional and technical specifications.
• Work closely with developers and system architects to ensure accurate implementation.

Risk Policy Interpretation:

• Understand and interpret risk management policies and frameworks.
• Ensure system configurations and data flows support policy enforcement and risk monitoring.

Testing & Validation:

• Support UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and SIT (System Integration Testing) for risk systems.
• Validate that system outputs align with risk expectations and policy rules.

Continuous Improvement:

• Identify opportunities to enhance risk systems and processes.
• Recommend and implement improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Candidate with analytical mindset having bachelors in technology with adequate exposure to Banking from products and risk management associated with products offering.
• Candidate with startup mindset and having in experience in a techno-functional role within banking or financial services.
• Experience of working with tight timelines to meet the deliverables requirement.
• Experience of working with regional banks is a big plus, for industry standard alignment of product configuration from risk management perspective.
• Proven ability to write clear and comprehensive technical specifications.
