Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement logistics strategy aligned with business objectives
- Optimize routing, scheduling, and transportation modes to reduce costs
- Set and monitor KPIs for logistics performance
- Supervise dispatches, GRV processes, gate passes, and import shipments
- Manage fleet operations including GPS tracking, maintenance, permits, and expenses
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulatory requirements
- Coordinate with internal departments (warehouse, HR, sales, etc.)
- Lead team performance, training, and monthly meetings with drivers/helpers
- Address delivery issues, customer complaints, and operational disruptions
- Prepare and submit detailed reports (e.g., vehicle fines, mileage, dispatch, re-delivery, temperature, accidents, etc.)
- Monitor staff attendance, uniforms, PPE, and holiday duty coverage
- Propose fleet expansion plans with cost justification
Qualifications:
- Bachelors/Masters in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Business Administration
- 10+ years of experience in logistics/supply chain, preferably FMCG
- Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Proven ability to manage large teams and complex logistics networks
