Lead Azure Data Engineer (m/f/d)

Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Leverage Azure cloud technologies, including Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL, and Databricks, to manage, manipulate, and analyze data effectively.
• Build, maintain, and optimize data pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and other Azure cloud services.
• Clean, transform, and model large datasets using Databricks, Spark, Python, and other data engineering tools.
• Develop and document data architecture, data modeling, and data governance strategies.
• Perform data analysis and reporting to support business decision-making.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, including IT teams, business users, and project managers, to understand data requirements and deliver solutions.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare data standards and regulations, including Shafafiya.
• Develop dashboards and reports using tools such as Power BI or Databricks to visualize trends, KPIs, and other business metrics.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Proven experience as a Data Engineer or similar role, with a strong background in Microsoft Azure Cloud Services and Functions.
• Expertise in Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL, Databricks, data pipelines, Spark, Python, data architecture, data modeling, and data governance.
• Strong knowledge of SQL Server and Postgres databases.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate, Databricks Certified Data Engineer, or similar.
• Experience with healthcare data standards and claim management processes.
• Knowledge of dashboarding and visualization tools such as Power BI.
