Concrete Batching Plant Facility Officer (Ready-Mixed)
Job Description
A Concrete Batching Plant Facilities Officer is responsible for managing the physical infrastructure, technical systems, and safety compliance of ready-mix production facilities. This role often bridges the gap between general facilities management and specialized industrial plant operations.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the maintenance of all plant buildings, storage yards, and utilities (water, electrical, and drainage systems).
- Ensure that all facility equipment, including silos, conveyors, and chillers, are in optimal working condition to prevent production delays.
- Monitor and enforce adherence to local UAE health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards and civil defense codes.
- Maintain accurate records of facility inspections, equipment utilization, and maintenance logs for internal and external audits.
- Manage the cleanliness and organization of the plant area, including the disposal of concrete waste and sludge in accordance with environmental regulations.
- Participate in the planning and execution of facility upgrades, retrofits, or new plant construction projects.
- Actively participate in the RFP process and supervise onsite contractors for civil or electromechanical work.
Requirements
Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering is typically required.Experience: Usually requires a minimum of 7 years of experience in plant facilities management or construction operations within the UAE.
Technical Skills:
Strong knowledge of industrial building systems (HVAC, MEP, and firefighting).
Familiarity with concrete production processes and machinery.
Proficiency in AutoCAD for reviewing facility drawings and layouts.
Regulatory Knowledge: Working knowledge of local codes (e.g., Dubai Municipality or ADSSC standards) and international design standards.Communication: Fluency in English is essential; knowledge of Arabic is often a desirable advantage.
