Job Summary:

This role is responsible for imparting essential knowledge and skills to individuals in firefighting techniques, safety procedures, and emergency response protocols. They play a crucial role in enhancing the preparedness and competence of firefighters and other personnel involved in fire safety.

Job Description:

• Design a structured training curriculum covering core aspects of firefighting, including fire safety, emergency response, fire behavior, fire prevention techniques, and the correct use of firefighting equipment.
• Develop detailed lesson plans, presentations, handouts, and instructional videos Ensure materials are accessible and comprehensive, addressing different learning styles.
• Tailor training modules to the specific needs of different audiences, such as industrial workers, office staff, security personnel, and emergency responders.
• Provide theoretical knowledge on fire behavior, types of fires, fire triangle concepts, and classification (A, B, C, D, K). Explain fire spread, common causes, and potential hazards.
• Teach essential fire prevention measures, such as recognizing and mitigating fire hazards, maintaining equipment, and implementing workplace safety protocols.
• Instruct participants on emergency response plans, evacuation protocols, alarm systems, and the importance of coordination during emergencies.
• Provide hands-on training for various firefighting tools, including fire extinguishers, hoses, nozzles, fire blankets, and breathing apparatus.
• Conduct live fire drills in controlled settings to simulate real-life scenarios.
• Set up mock emergency situations for trainees to practice response strategies, rescue operations, and teamwork under pressure.
• Train participants on orderly evacuation procedures and safe use of fire exits.
• Ensure that participants are physically prepared to handle firefighting equipment and perform demanding tasks.
• Educate on managing stress, remaining calm in emergencies, and making quick decisions under pressure to enhance response effectiveness.
• Provide training on compliance with local fire codes, occupational safety standards, and international fire safety regulations (such as NFPA standards).
• Cover legal responsibilities of firefighters, including liability, ethical considerations, and proper documentation of incidents.
• Guide participants in understanding and implementing workplace fire safety policies, including inspection protocols, maintenance schedules, and reporting requirements.
• Assess hands-on skills in equipment handling, fire suppression, evacuation procedures, and emergency response. Use checklists and benchmarks to ensure proficiency.
• Train participants to identify and assess fire risks within different environments, including industrial settings, offices, and residential areas.
• Educate on developing and implementing customized fire safety plans for various facilities, tailored to specific risks and hazards.
• Teach practical fire hazard mitigation strategies, such as handling flammable materials safely, electrical safety measures, and maintaining clear egress routes.
• Provide basic first aid training related to fire incidents, such as burn treatment, smoke inhalation management, and emergency medical response.
• Regularly update training content and methods based on feedback, advancements in fire safety, and changes in fire safety regulations.
• Maintain detailed records of training sessions, attendance, test results, certifications, and compliance data for each participant.

Required Criteria:

• Bachelor's degree in Degree in Fire Science or Fire Protection Technology or a related field
• Minimum 10 years of experience in Civil Defence (UAE or home country)
• Must have Firefighter Certifications
