Your Role

As a Design Coordinator, your responsibilities will include:

• Plan design activities; prepare a comprehensive schedule of all planned drawing submittals based on the project schedule in coordination with Design Manager.
• Verify and ensure the detailed drawing schedule from subcontractor is in compliance with project drawing schedule.
• Review the technical queries/clarifications from the subcontractor, prepare clarification and raise the relevant queries/clarifications to Design Manager. Review the clarifications from the consultant and transmit to all interfacing subcontractors as per Design Managers direction.
• Coordinate / follow up with subcontractors to ensure drawing submittals are completed as per schedule. Coordinate with subcontractors, Project team and consultants for completing the design activities of the project as per schedule.
• Review subcontractors drawings for Accuracy, Quality and incorporation of relevant information, raise clarifications / queries to subcontractor if required within 2 days.
• Review the coordinated drawings with draftsman to ensure the accuracy of the drawing and incorporation of relevant information.
• Review design calculations from subcontractor for accuracy and incorporation of relevant information.
• Review consultants approval/comments on the drawing submittals and forward the submittals to subcontractor as per Design Managers direction.
• Provide weekly/monthly progress report with weekly /monthly look ahead to design Manager.
• Develop drawings for various temporary facilities, logistics related designs as per the direction of the Design manager.
• Prepare/organize drawings for Authoritys approval as per Design Managers direction.
• Review red line drawings and as built drawings from subcontractor for accuracy and incorporation of relevant information.

• Experience: 9+ years in construction as a Design Coordinator.
• Knowledge: Ket Design Software (Staad, Prokon, Etab)
• Expertise: AutoCAD, MS Office, Adobe Acrobat.
