Group Finance Manager – Transportation & Real Estate

Job Summary:
We are seeking a strategic and experienced Group Finance Manager to lead the financial operations of a diversified group of businesses in the transportation and real estate sectors. This role requires a strong leader with a deep understanding of financial management, consolidation, planning, and regulatory compliance across multiple business units.The ideal candidate will play a key role in supporting senior leadership with financial insights to drive performance and growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Consolidate financial statements across all group entities.
- Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes at group level.
- Monitor financial performance against budgets and KPIs; initiate corrective actions where needed.
- Manage intercompany transactions, reconciliations, and eliminations.
- Conduct in-depth variance analysis and provide strategic financial recommendations.
- Drive cost optimization and operational efficiency across the group.
- Support mergers, acquisitions, and due diligence efforts.
- Ensure adherence to local and international accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP).
- Oversee statutory audits and maintain strong relationships with external auditors.
- Monitor internal control frameworks and risk management protocols.
- Ensure timely compliance with tax and other regulatory requirements.
- Lead and mentor a cross-functional team of finance professionals.
- Build a high-performance culture that emphasizes accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement.
- Coordinate with finance heads of business units to align on best practices and standardize reporting processes.
- Act as a key business partner to the executive team, offering financial insights to support strategic decision-making.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master&aposs preferred).
- Professional accounting qualification (CPA, ACCA, CA, or equivalent) is mandatory.
- Minimum 710 years of progressive financial management experience, preferably within group or multi-entity organizations.
- Industry experience in transportation, logistics, or real estate is highly desirable.
- Expertise in financial consolidation and reporting systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
- Native Arabic Speaker
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to lead geographically dispersed teams.
