Editorial Assistant

Job Description

• Position: Editorial Assistant
• Location: Dubai
• Duration: 3-month contract (extendable)
• Start: Immediate
• Legal Status: Possesses a valid visa and is authorized to work in the UAE (not on a visit visa).

Key Responsibilities:

• Drafting, editing, and publishing news, features, and editorial content
• Reviewing and proofreading content as per editorial guidelines
• Using internal CMS to publish and manage content
• Collaborating with design and marketing teams
• Brainstorming ideas and tracking the content calendar
• Ensuring brand consistency across all platforms
• Coordinating with internal/external stakeholders and responding to editorial communications
• Supporting the team with special projects and events coverage
• Performing administrative tasks related to the editorial team

Requirements:

• Degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, English, or related field
• Excellent writing and grammar skills
• Familiarity with industry news, preferably within energy or adjacent sectors
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Experience with SEO best practices and social media platforms (especially LinkedIn)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Adobe Creative Suite preferred
• Working knowledge of CMS, HTML, and web analytics
• At least one internship/training experience in a media environment
