Assistant Manager - Operational Risk (UAEN Only)

Job Description

Organization Unit Purpose

It ensures effective implementation of risk governance, promotes a strong risk culture, and safeguards the Bank against potential operational losses arising from inadequate processes, systems, people, or external events, including fraud and business disruptions.

• Lead operational risk identification and assessment across business and support units (ORCA, NPPA, PIR).
• Develop, monitor, and report Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and operational risk events.
• Review and challenge new products, processes, and system changes from a risk perspective.
• Conduct risk awareness sessions and promote operational risk culture bank-wide.
• Coordinate investigation reporting, root-cause analysis, and regulatory reporting (e.g., CBUAE).

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Risk Management, or related field.
• 2-3 years of experience in Banking or Risk Management.
• Strong understanding of Operational Risk Framework and Basel guidelines.
• Analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
• Professional certification in Risk Management or Internal Control (preferred).
