Job Description

Financial Analyst will be responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate submission of regulatory reports to the Central Bank of the UAE (CBUAE) and other relevant authorities, in full compliance with applicable banking regulations and reporting standards.

Key responsibilities

Assist in the preparation and submission of periodic regulatory reports in compliance with UAE banking regulations, ensuring adherence to timelines and accuracy of the information provided.

Validate data integrity and perform reconciliations between financial records and core banking systems.

Monitor the Central Bank of the UAE (CBUAE) portal regularly and communicate any updates or changes in regulations to the relevant departments.

Update reporting practices to reflect changes in regulatory requirements or international financial standards.

Prepare and submit surveys received from the CBUAE and other government entities in a timely and accurate manner.

Maintain and update Excel-based financial models, ensuring consistency and accuracy of the underlying data.

Review and maintain Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to financial and regulatory reporting.

Liaise with internal stakeholders to source, verify, and interpret data necessary for CBUAE reporting.

Coordinate with CBUAE examiners, internal auditors, and external auditors as required.

Contribute to process improvement initiatives within the Finance function, including the creation of reporting dashboards and automation tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Provide input on new product implementations from both accounting and regulatory reporting perspectives.

Job Requirements

Bachelors degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.

13 years of relevant experience in a finance or accounting role, preferably within the banking or financial services sector.

Strong knowledge of accounting principles, particularly related to expenses and fixed assets.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, lookups); experience with financial modeling is a plus.

Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, MS Dynamics, or similar) is an advantage.

Attention to detail, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
