Head of Compliance
We are partnering with a leading UAE organisation seeking to appoint a commercially minded and experienced Head of Compliance to join its Risk & Assurance function. This is a senior leadership role responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing the organisation's regulatory and operational compliance framework across the group.The successful individual will play a key role in strengthening governance, enhancing compliance oversight, and promoting a strong culture of integrity and accountability across the business.
Key Responsibilities- Design and maintain an enterprise-wide compliance framework aligned to regulatory and internal requirements.
- Develop policies, governance standards, reporting structures, and escalation processes relating to compliance matters.
- Oversee the monitoring and reporting of regulatory and operational compliance risks across the organisation.
- Maintain oversight of relationships with relevant regulatory authorities and ensure ongoing compliance with applicable regulations.
- Lead investigations, monitoring activities, and remediation plans relating to compliance breaches or control gaps.
- Own and manage key internal compliance policies including:
- Anti-Bribery & Corruption
- Conflict of Interest
- Gifts & Hospitality
- Third-Party Risk
- Data Privacy & Protection
- Drive improvements in compliance reporting, dashboards, monitoring capability, and use of technology across the function.
- Partner with senior stakeholders across the business to enhance governance, risk awareness, and regulatory understanding.
- Develop and maintain a group-wide compliance training and awareness programme.
- 10+ years experience within Compliance, Governance, Risk, Legal or Regulatory functions.
- Strong experience dealing with regulatory authorities and implementing compliance frameworks within regulated environments.
- Strong understanding of operational compliance, governance, data privacy, anti-bribery & corruption, and policy oversight.
- Proven ability to engage and influence senior leadership and stakeholders across complex organisations.
- Experience operating within highly regulated and reputationally sensitive environments.
- Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Commercially aware with the ability to balance regulatory expectations alongside operational and business objectives.
