We are hiring a Bid lead -Technical in our Abu Dhabi office.
Role Purpose
Bid Lead shall play a vital role by establishing the tender technically, he/she will be responsible in strategizing the bid into execution, deriving a robust methodology which is cost effective by optimizing the resources, close liaison with the Planning team ensuring the opted methodology is incorporated into the programme and present the bid technically to the management as part of tender settlements.
Key Responsibilities
Have Knowledge of Statutory Authority Regulations (ADM, DMT, Civil Defense, etc. ) to ensure complete compliance with safety and building regulations.
Review the technical specifications, drawings, scope of works and prepare a Tender Launch Presentation.
Carryout site visit for the bid and list down any major constraints /opportunities that may affect the method of construction, programme or price.
Prepare detailed Methodology/Strategy and Sequence of Project execution in line with scope of works, client objectives and ensure safe and timely delivery of project.
Close liaison with major subcontractor in deriving / strategizing method of construction, review programme requirements such as long lead items, special plant requirement etc.,Close liaison with internal Engineering team in detailing and deriving temporary work design if any to cater the scope of works/ opted methodology.
Risk Management -Identify potential risks and mitigation measures to ensure safe and timely delivery of project.
Investigate Value Engineering options and recommend solutions, based on cost, quality, and timely delivery.
Prepare Site Wide Logistics plan detailing setup of Site office, lay down area, access and delivery of material, plant and equipment etc.
Prepare Temporary services Layout (e.g., Lighting, Water etc.).
Provide input to the planner (e.g., Concrete Pouring, Formwork, Wild Air Requirements etc.) and review the programme.
Review and agree Productivity with Estimators/ Team
Prepare comprehensive List of Plant and Equipment required for the project.
Prepare Fac;ade Access Strategy (Scaffolding/ Cradles etc.)
Prepare B.O.Q for temporary works in line with Methodology.
Prepare Project Organization Schedule.
Prepare and Present Technical Presentation for Management Review and Approval.
Review and Finalize Technical Submission .
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related discipline.
Minimum 10–15 years of experience in EPC/main contracting, with strong exposure to high-rise building projects execution.
Proven experience in tendering, pre-contract, and technical bid management in the UAE (preferably Abu Dhabi).
Strong understanding of construction methodologies for complex building projects.
Excellent coordination and stakeholder management skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving ability with a focus on value engineering.
Proficiency in planning and engineering tools (e.g., Primavera, AutoCAD, BIM coordination exposure is an advantage).
Strong communication and presentation skills.
