Sr. HSEQ Engineer (Healthcare)

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement, monitor, and maintain HSEQ systems across healthcare facilities in compliance with HTM and DoH guidelines.
• Ensure adherence to UAE regulatory requirements, including OSHAD-SF and other applicable safety and environmental standards.
• Lead risk assessments, incident investigations, and root cause analysis, ensuring corrective and preventive actions are implemented.
• Develop and enforce health, safety, environmental, and quality policies and procedures.
• Conduct regular inspections, audits, and compliance reviews across all facility operations.
• Support healthcare accreditation processes and ensure alignment with international standards.
• Monitor contractor compliance with HSEQ requirements and ensure safe work practices.
• Coordinate with engineering, FM, and clinical teams to ensure safe and uninterrupted operations.
• Promote a strong safety culture through training, awareness programs, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Prepare reports, KPIs, and documentation related to HSEQ performance and compliance.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, or Mechanical Engineering from a recognized/accredited university approved by the UAE Ministry of Education.
• Minimum 10 years of total experience in HSEQ roles.
• At least 3 years of experience in healthcare facilities.
• Minimum 5 years of Facilities Management experience, preferably on similar projects.
• Mandatory certification in NEBOSH or equivalent international safety qualification.
• Strong knowledge of Health Technical Memoranda (HTM) and Department of Health (DoH) guidelines.
• Solid understanding of OSHAD-SF requirements.
• Hands-on experience with: ISO 45001 (Occupational Health & Safety), ISO 14001 (Environmental Management), Quality Management Systems (e.g., ISO 9001)
• Strong knowledge of risk management, compliance frameworks, and audit processes.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
