Assistant Manager (Non-Life Insurance- General)

Job Description
We are looking for a dynamic and experienced professional to join our General Insurance Division as an Assistant Manager. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical knowledge in general insurance products, excellent insurer relationships within the UAE market, and hands-on experience in both new business and renewal processes.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and coordinate day-to-day operations of the General Insurance Division.
- Handle new business placements, renewals, endorsements, and policy servicing.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with insurance companies and underwriters in the UAE.
- Negotiate quotations, terms, and coverage with insurers to achieve competitive solutions for clients.
- Provide technical support and guidance to the sales and servicing teams.
- Supervise and support team members to ensure smooth workflow and service delivery.
- Ensure timely renewal follow-ups and maintain client retention.
- Review insurance requirements and recommend suitable coverage solutions.
- Coordinate claims-related support when required.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures and insurance regulations.
Required Product Knowledge
Candidates should have sound knowledge and working experience in the following insurance lines:
- Property All Risks Insurance
- Liability Insurance
- Workmen Compensation Insurance
- Professional Indemnity Insurance
- Medical Practices Insurance
- Marine Insurance
- Bachelor's Degree in any relevant discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in General Insurance.
- At least 1–2 years of supervisory or team-handling experience.
- Strong connections and working relationships with insurance companies in the UAE.
- Thorough understanding of both new business and renewal processes.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities efficiently.
- UAE insurance market exposure is mandatory.
- Strong analytical and client servicing capabilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office and insurance management systems.
