Accountant ( VAT & Compliance Specialist - Part-time)

About the Role:

Alpha Leadership Co. is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Part-Time Accountant to oversee UAE tax compliance, financial reporting, and day-to-day accounting activities. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with UAE VAT submissions, corporate tax compliance, and multi-entity accounting, particularly within Free Zone structures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare, review, and submit monthly and quarterly VAT returns in compliance with Federal Tax Authority (FTA) regulations.
• Manage corporate tax compliance and filings for Meydan Free Zone and RAK ICC entities.
• Maintain accurate accounting records, general ledger entries, and supporting documentation.
• Handle accounts payable, accounts receivable, and monthly bank reconciliations.
• Prepare periodic financial statements, management reports, and cash flow summaries.
• Ensure compliance with UAE accounting, tax, and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, banks, and government authorities as required.
• Maintain audit-ready financial records and supporting schedules.
• Develop and maintain financial KPI dashboards and quarterly reporting packs for management.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on UAE accounting and VAT compliance experience.
• Proven experience preparing and submitting VAT returns through the FTA portal.
• Strong understanding of UAE Corporate Tax regulations and compliance requirements.
• Experience working with Free Zone entities, including regulatory and tax obligations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems such as QuickBooks, SAP, Zoho Books, Xero, or similar platforms.Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Professional certification such as ACCA, CPA, CMA, CA, or equivalent.
• Experience managing accounting for multiple entities or holding company structures.
• Familiarity with Qualifying Free Zone Person (QFZP) requirements and UAE Corporate Tax exemptions.
• Familiarity with cross-border UAE–Saudi compliance.
• Arabic language proficiency is an advantage.
