Job Description

JOB PURPOSE

Govern and provide strategic and technical support to the Sustainability function in RTA, which corresponds to the related strategic goals/objectives and directions from Higher Management in line with the Local/Federal Directions , through preparation and development of systems, policies, and processes to monitor and enhance Sustainability performance in RTA.

1. Prepare & update policies & processes and Develop & maintain, and continually improve the sustainability management system in RTA.
2. Prepare, develop, and updating sustainability strategies and plans and advise in formulating with stakeholders.
3. Ensure RTAs sustainability management system alignment with local / federal government strategic directions by conduct audits.
4. Set objectives and targets in line with RTA Sustainability Policies and Strategies and introduce indicators to measure performance and efficiency.
5. Prepare and develop the sustainability performance reports and the RTAs annual sustainability report and encourage transparency and accountability.
6. Prepare and develop quarterly Energy and Green Economy performance reports and the RTAs annual Energy and Green Economy report and encourage transparency and accountability.
7. Identify risks, improvements and opportunities related to sustainability and provide recommendations to the management.
8. Identify Sustainability requirements and priorities with stakeholders and manage the performance.
9. Systematic capturing, documenting and analysis of results to develop analytics and reports to identify improvement areas in Sustainability.
10. Analyze sustainability results and ensure result-based management and work planning to improve strategic plans and processes related to Sustainability.
11. Identifying best practices and benchmark for areas related to sustainability and provide recommendations for adoption in RTA.
12. Participate and support in the internal/external audits and assessments.
13. Ensure compliance to Sustainability requirements through third party assessments/audits as per Management directions.
14. Identify opportunities and support promoting Sustainability across RTA.
15. Establish a process for evaluating and updating legal and other requirements of Sustainability and conduct compliance evaluation.
16. Provide technical advice to internal and external stakeholders in relation to sustainability areas.
17. Support and implementation of Dubais Government Excellence Programmes as per the Management directions.
18. Perform other responsibilities associated with the position as appropriate.

• Bachelor or Master of Engineering in Electrical/Chemical/Renewable Energy/Mechanical
• OR Bachelor of Science from a recognized university and proffered to have professional certification from International Accredited Institutes.
• 11+ years of working experience in the relevant field, preferred in related areas of Green Economy/Energy/Environment Management/Sustainability Management.
