The Services Finance Controller will establish and operate a structured financial control framework across the consulting and services portfolio to proactively manage revenue recognition integrity, unbilled revenue exposure, project profitability, and cost overrun risks.The role will report to the Middle East & Africa Finance Director and act as a financial business partner to Delivery and Services leadership, ensuring timely visibility of financial risks, disciplined forecasting, and proactive intervention on underperforming projects.
Revenue Recognition & Financial Control- Review monthly revenue recognition, WIP, and unbilled revenue balances, identifying delivery issues and revenue risks.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS and internal revenue recognition policies, including percentage-of-completion accounting.
- Monitor backlog yield, TCV metrics, and overall financial control effectiveness.
- Monitor project profitability, costs, and margins, proactively identifying risks and recommending corrective actions.
- Analyse resource utilisation and identify profit leakage or cost overrun risks.
- Provide timely visibility of financial risks and support intervention on underperforming projects.
- Lead the annual services budgeting process and support monthly forecasting activities.
- Partner with Delivery and Services leadership to improve financial performance and decision-making.
- Deliver structured financial reporting, analysis, and insights to support operational and strategic objectives.
- Strong finance controlling experience within consulting, professional services, or project-based environments
- Experience with percentage-of-completion accounting and project revenue recognition under IFRS
- Strong analytical and financial modeling skills
- Ability to work closely with delivery and operational teams
- Strong understanding of project profitability drivers and forecasting methodologies
- Advanced Excel and ERP/reporting system capabilities
