Job Purpose:
Lead the strategic acquisition and development of new client relationships across both Assets and Liabilities, driving sustainable portfolio growth. Oversee the Contracting and Real Estate portfolio with full accountability for business expansion, asset quality, and profitability.Ensure alignment with organizational objectives while maintaining robust risk management and delivering superior client engagement.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Portfolio & Risk Management- Oversee and continuously monitor the credit quality of the assigned portfolio, ensuring timely risk recognition and accurate risk rating for each relationship.
- Maintain a high-quality portfolio with zero or minimal credit losses through proactive risk mitigation and ongoing review.
- Take ownership of portfolio decisions, including restricting or exiting client relationships to safeguard asset quality and manage risk exposure.
- Develop and execute strategic marketing plans to identify and acquire corporate relationships within approved industry segments.
- Drive sustainable growth across Assets and Liabilities while maximizing profitability and achieving target market share.
- Stay proactive to market changes, provide competitive intelligence and identify emerging business opportunities.
- Lead and manage a portfolio of corporate clients, ensuring strong engagement, responsiveness, and high levels of client satisfaction.
- Oversee portfolios handled by Relationship Managers, ensuring alignment with business objectives and portfolio quality standards.
- Ensure optimal portfolio sizing, composition, and diversification in line with guidance from the Team Leader.
- Coordinate closely with Credit Risk Management and relevant divisions to address queries and facilitate timely processing of credit proposals.
- Prepare and review credit packages, particularly in the absence of Relationship Officers or Credit Analysts.
- Ensure all client documentation is accurate, valid, and compliant throughout the lifecycle, including onboarding.
- Ensure strict adherence to regulatory and internal compliance requirements, including transaction monitoring, AML, sanctions, and counter-terrorism financing controls.
- Act in the best interest of the organization by identifying and escalating concerns related to client behavior or financial activities.
- Manage and close audit (internal/external) and compliance actions within agreed timelines, ensuring proper approvals for any exceptions.
- Handle regulatory interactions (including central bank and compliance authorities) in a timely and compliant manner.
- Ensure adherence to SOPs, policies, delegation of authority (DOA), and corporate governance standards across all activities.
- Maintain high onboarding standards to ensure strong client quality and minimize early account attrition.
- Monitor performance of assigned team members, providing coaching, feedback, and development opportunities.
- Support team strategy planning and contribute to overall business direction.
- Act as a delegate for the Team Leader when required, ensuring continuity in leadership and decision-making.
- Support senior management with relevant reports, insights, and portfolio analytics.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to enhance efficiency, resolve issues, and improve client experience.
- Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by management in line with the scope and seniority of the role.
Competency Profile:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Experience:
- Minimum 8 years experience in corporate banking, preparing proposals, performing customer analysis, developing and implementing marketing plans, handling a wide range of issues pertaining to credit proposals, reviewing, managing assigned portfolio and employees.
