About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Mechanical Draftsman to join our Engineering team in the UAE. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate mechanical drawings and documentation for water and wastewater treatment projects, including treatment plants, pumping stations, RO systems, and skid-mounted process units.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed mechanical drawings using AutoCAD and related drafting software.
• Develop General Arrangement (GA), fabrication, assembly, and installation drawings.
• Create piping layouts, isometric drawings, and equipment layout drawings.
• Produce shop drawings for tanks, pressure vessels, skids, platforms, supports, and structural components.
• Generate fabrication drawings for stainless steel and carbon steel equipment.

• Coordinate with Mechanical, Process, Electrical, and Instrumentation Engineers.
• Review engineering documents, specifications, and P&IDs before drafting.
• Incorporate design revisions and client comments into drawings.
• Ensure drawings are completed and issued according to project schedules.

• Prepare Bills of Materials (BOMs).
• Maintain drawing registers and revision records.
• Prepare and update as-built drawings upon project completion.
• Ensure proper document control and engineering drawing management.

• Provide drafting support during fabrication and installation.
• Coordinate with production teams to resolve drawing-related issues.
• Support site activities and commissioning by updating drawings based on field modifications.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Diploma or bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 - 5 years of experience as a Mechanical Draftsman.
• Experience in Water Treatment Plants (WTP), Wastewater Treatment Plants (WWTP), Sewage Treatment Plants (STP), Reverse Osmosis (RO), or industrial process plants is highly preferred.
• UAE/GCC experience will be an advantage.
