Job Purpose
There will be four (4) Program Delivery Managers on the project - three (3) electrical and one (1) mechanical. The Program Delivery Assistant Engineers (Electrical) will report to the Project Delivery Managers and oversee the execution and delivery of the project, focusing on the construction, commissioning and handover of substations, grid-stations, STATCOM and OHL.This is a PMC role which entails overseeing multiple Supervision Consultants and EPC's from project inception to completion, ensuring that all engineering, procurement, and construction activities are conducted efficiently, on schedule, and within budget while meeting the highest safety and quality standards.
Job Responsibilities- Monitor the day-to-day on-site activities, schedule, oversee performance and execution during the different stages of the project, attend meetings as required, and manage the flow of information from the field and Site Supervision Consultants to the office and vice versa, as required.
- Lead the planning, execution and successful delivery of the project, ensuring alignment with project objectives, goals, timelines, and budget constraints.
- Manage and coordinate activities related to the power transmission package of the project and oversee all EPC-related operations.
- Enhance collaboration and communication among project stakeholders, including clients, supervision consultants, contractors, vendors, and regulatory bodies.
- Oversee the development and implementation of comprehensive project management plans, schedule, and resource allocation.
- Monitor project performance against key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions as needed to maintain project health.
- Prepare and deliver regular progress reports to senior management, highlighting key milestones, risks, and mitigation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety standards and regulations throughout the project lifecycle.
- Provide technical guidance and leadership to project teams.
- Coordinate and oversee the production of the project commissioning and energization plan for Project Nexus, oversee the commissioning and energization phase.
- Facilitate effective risk management processes to identify, record, analyze, and mitigate project risks.
- Foster client relationships and engage in proactive communication to address issues and enhance client satisfaction.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
- 5 years of experience, with a focus on power transmission construction.
- Demonstrated experience as PMC, supervision consultant or EPC on similar complex projects.
- Knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.
- Expertise in electrical engineering principles, particularly related to power transmission and distribution.
- Proficient in project management software and tools for scheduling and resource management.
- Familiarity with industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to power transmission and distribution.
- Leadership qualities with the ability to inspire and manage cross-functional teams.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of engaging effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to navigate complex project challenges.
- Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proactive approach to conflict resolution and risk management.
