Full Stack Developer (GIS Specialist)

Reporting to: AUEM Development Leads

The Job

You will be responsible for local development, system integrations, and advanced map-based features using the Esri ArcGIS ecosystem.

Responsibilities includes (but not limited to) the following:

• Local Development & Support: Act as the primary technical point of contact for ADP, implementing local changes and feature requests within the Msys environment and later transitioning those capabilities to Chronos.
• GIS Integration: Design and maintain spatial data solutions, ensuring seamless map functionality within our web applications.
• Full-Stack Development: Build and maintain robust, scalable web applications using C# and Web Forms/MVC).
• Collaboration: Work under the technical guidance of our global leads to ensure local UAE developments align with the global product roadmap.

Selection Criteria:

• Core Backend: 5+ years of experience in C# and .NET. Knowledge of Microsoft Ajax/MVC 5/Winforms and legacy web application frameworks is essential.
• Map Framework Expertise: Proven experience implementing and customizing enterprise mapping libraries ArcGIS Maps & ThinkGeo, OpenLayers Ability to migrate or bridge these to modern frameworks (Leaflet/ArcGIS SDK) is highly desired.
• Database: Advanced proficiency in SQL (SQL Server preferred).
• Frontend: Strong knowledge of client-side development (JavaScript/HTML/CSS). Knowledge in Telerik 2016 and DevExpress 15 UI components - Advantage
• Database & Data Layer: Strong MSSQL skills, including experience with LinqToSQL and T-SQL performance tuning.
• Tools: Proficient in Git for source control and JIRA for task management and bug tracking.
• Infrastructure & Environment: Proficient in MSSQL Server management, IIS configuration, Windows Server , and Basic Networking (HTTP/S, TCP/IP) for troubleshooting connectivity.
• Experience with PHP and the Yii framework would be preferable.

• Autonomy: Ability to work independently at the client site while staying synchronized
• with a remote global team.
• Communication: Fluent English & Arabic is required; ability to translate complex client requirements into technical specifications.
• Problem Solving & Debugging: Exceptional debugging skills, particularly when troubleshooting legacy codebases and complex system bottlenecks.
• Documentation: Strong documentation skills to ensure all local customizations are clearly recorded for the global team.
