Job Description

Summary

The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of AI technologies, and experience in shaping AI use cases for large organizations.

Major Responsibilities:

• AI use cases: Identify & deliver the AI use cases across the prioritized value chains, domains, and sub domains for Finance House, aligning it with our AI strategy, business goals and industry trends. Set clear priorities for AI adoption, focusing on business impact, customer experience, and operational efficiency.
• Collaboration: Work closely with senior stakeholders across departments (e.g., IT, Risk, Compliance, Audit, Information Security and Finance) to identify opportunities for AI-driven improvements in processes, customer services, and product offerings.
• AI Tools: Define and implement the necessary AI tools, agentic AI, and technologies to support use case delivery while ensure the tech stack remains lean and unified. This also entails supporting IT in building a scalable AI infrastructure.
• AI Project Management: Oversee the development and deployment of AI projects, ensuring that they meet FH's objectives, are delivered on time, and comply with regulatory standards. Prioritize projects based on impact and feasibility.
• Data Governance & Compliance: Ensure all AI initiatives comply with relevant financial industry regulations and data privacy laws. Establish and enforce best practices in data governance, model transparency, and ethical AI usage.
• Team Leadership: In the medium term, build and lead a cross-functional AI team, including data scientists, machine learning engineers, and AI specialists. Mentor and provide guidance to team members to foster a collaborative and innovative culture.
• Performance Monitoring & Optimization: Develop metrics and performance indicators to monitor the success of AI initiatives. Continuously assess and improve AI models, algorithms, and processes to ensure optimal results.
• Innovation & Research: Stay abreast of the latest developments in AI, machine learning, and related fields. Propose new AI technologies and methodologies that can be adopted to gain a competitive edge.

Qualifications:

• Education: A Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field. Additional certifications or qualifications in AI/ML are a plus.

Experience:

• Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in AI, Machine Learning, or Data Science, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role.
• Proven track record of setting up and leading AI teams within large organizations or financial institutions.
• Previous experience in banking or fintech with a focus on AI and data-driven transformation.
• Experience managing AI projects, including scoping, execution, and delivery within a regulated environment.
• Strong understanding of financial services, banking products, and industry challenges is highly preferred.

Skills:

• Strong knowledge in AI and machine learning frameworks like tensorflow, pytorch, scikilt.
• Strong knowledge of data engineering, cloud platforms (AWS, Oracle, Azure), Experiment Management Platforms and distributed computing.
• Familiarity with natural language processing (NLP), computer vision, and AI-driven automation technologies.
• Familiarity of model deployment and serving tools MLops, observability tools.
• Familiarity with financial industry regulations and their implications on AI.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
