Electrical Technical Officer

Job Description

We are seeking highly competent Electrical Technical Officers (ETO) with strong offshore operational and troubleshooting experience. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing electrical, automation, navigation, and safety systems onboard offshore vessels or platforms.

Rotation: To be discussed to shortlisted candidates

Core Experience & Skills:

• VFDs / Soft Starters: programming, troubleshooting, and maintenance
• Sensor systems: temperature, pressure sensors, and encoders
• Generators: synchronization, safety shutdown systems, troubleshooting of alternators and AVR (Automatic Voltage Regulator)
• High Voltage / Low Voltage (HV/LV) systems: operation, switching, protection, and maintenance
• Main Switchboard (MSB): operation, maintenance, fault finding, and protection systems
• Advanced troubleshooting & fault finding, including root cause analysis
• PLC & Automation systems: control panels, diagnostics, and troubleshooting
• Planned Maintenance System (PMS): maintenance scheduling, reporting, and system management
• Power Management System (PMS)
• Dynamic Positioning (DP) System: basic operation, troubleshooting
• Fire detection and fire protection systems
• Gas detection systems, including H2S sensors
• Cranes and crane control systems, including sensors and operational principles
• Jacking systems, including all related sensors, especially programmable pressure sensors
• Navigation equipment: ECDIS, gyro compass, and radar system
• Satellite and marine communication systems
• Computers and industrial control systems

Qualifications:

• Offshore-experienced ETO with strong electrical & automation capability
• Able to work independently in high‑pressure offshore environments
• Strong communication, reporting, and safety awareness
• Excellent fault‑finding and system diagnostic skills
• at least 05 years (more than is a great advantage) mainly from offshore
• Preferred Nationalities: Southeast Asians / Ukrainians / Indians / Africans / South Americans (this selection is to avoid possibilities the rejection of CICPA passes travelling to offshore due to the current situation)
