Its unique location allows us to rapidly meet our clients' needs across Asia, Africa, Europe, and the Middle East. Domestically, we operate a pipeline network spanning 1,600 kilometres to ensure that local customers are supplied on demand.

About the job

The Senior Analyst, Planning and Performance, will play a pivotal role in the strategic analysis, oversight, and enhancement of the Shared Services Function's performance and efficiency. This position involves a deeper involvement in the creation and refinement of planning and performance metrics, leading performance improvement initiatives, and presenting comprehensive performance results to the Executive Leadership Team (ELT).

The Senior Analyst will also be instrumental in guiding the function's strategic direction and ensuring alignment with the company's broader objectives.

Key accountabilities
  • Coordinate with Shared Services divisions such as Procurement, Digital, Business Support, and Human Capital to establish and plan core business objectives.
  • Analyse and monitor the performance of the Shared Services Division to identify areas for improvement.
  • Participate in daily/weekly meetings of the Shared Services function, updating progress on assigned tasks, and collaborate with department leaders to identify and implement performance improvement initiatives.
  • Coordinate with all divisions to develop the 5-Year Business Plan, providing guidance and expertise in establishing realistic and SMART work programs and expenditure plans within the prescribed timeframe.
  • Create reports and presentations to communicate performance results to senior management (ELT).
  • Collaborate with department leaders to identify and implement performance improvement initiatives.
  • Coordinate the management review of capital and operating forecasts and ensure its consistency with the Business Plan.
  • Direct and follow up on the implementation of the approved Business Plan and Work Program, providing support on key initiatives such as Opex/Capex optimization and Project Light to improve efficiency.
  • Offer recommendations for optimizing processes and procedures to enhance overall performance and prepare business materials on financial and technical matters for Executive Leadership Team, Board Advisory Committee, and other management meetings.
  • Review and evaluate ADNOC Refining's short-term and long-term plans for commercial activities, providing management with independent appraisals for precise decision-making.
  • Provide professional analytical and technical support to immediate supervisor when requested.
  • Monitor the integrated project planning and management of strategic projects, review, update, follow up and ensure influencing progress.
  • Establish and maintain the Shared Services function operating manual to ensure consistent and efficient operations.
  • Provide comprehensive orientation for new employees and entry-level personnel within the Shared Services Function.
  • Monitor the Shared Services Function's budget, providing regular updates and insights to the designated focal point.
  • Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) and key initiatives for the Shared Services function to evaluate and enhance crucial success factors.
  • Lead internal and external audits for the function, ensuring timely review and implementation of corrective actions to address audit findings.
  • Engage in business transformational projects and initiatives relevant to the Shared Services function, closely monitoring project progress and outcomes.
  • Collaborate with Shared Services to align on audit findings and risk registers, contributing to the development of action plans, reports, and communications with company functions and employees.
  • Analyse customer satisfaction survey reports for Shared Services, identify areas for improvement, and propose actionable plans based on survey results to enhance the overall performance of the function.
  • Actively participate in HSE campaigns, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of HSE policies and procedures to ensure compliance and safety.
  • Adhere to all UAE, ADNOC, and ADNOC Refining codes of practice, upholding the highest standards of professional conduct and integrity.
Minimum requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Quality Management, Organizational Excellence, Project Management, or equivalent.
  • 8 years' related experience in a major Oil & Gas industry, carrying out feasibility studies/project analyses, out of which 3 years should be in a senior supervisor/analyst level.
  • Excellent planning and analytical skills.
  • Fluency in English language with strong communications and interpersonal skills.
