Senior Geotechnical Design Engineer – Soil Improvement Works

As we expand our operations, we are looking for a highly skilled Senior Geotechnical Design Engineer to join our growing technical team and lead the design of advanced soil improvement projects.
Key Responsibilities
Design & Technical Leadership
Lead and manage geotechnical design works for soil improvement techniques including:
Vibrocompaction
Vibro Replacement (Stone Columns)
Dynamic Compaction
Prefabricated Vertical Drains (PVD)
Vacuum Consolidation and Grouting methods
Prepare and review geotechnical design reports, drawings, and method statements in compliance with international and local standards.
Conduct geotechnical analysis and modelling using advanced software (CLiq, Settle3, PLAXIS, GeoStudio).
Provide value engineering solutions to improve project cost efficiency and performance.
Tendering & Client Interface
Independently prepare tendering proposals with the optimal technical solution.
Independently attend tender clarification meetings with the Business Development team in front of the client/main contractor.
Provide design input and technical support during tendering, cost estimation, and project execution phases.
Consultant Coordination & Delivery
Independently prepare design reports and close all comments with consultants for both ongoing and newly awarded projects.
Liaise with clients, consultants, and project managers to ensure design compliance and optimization.
Team Mentorship & Task Execution
Guide and supervise the daily works of junior geotechnical engineers.
Take full responsibility for tasks assigned by the Technical Manager, ensuring they are delivered with quality and efficiency, even under pressure.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelors Degree in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering (Masters Degree preferred).
Minimum 68 years of experience in geotechnical design with strong expertise in soil improvement works.
Proven ability to independently:
Prepare tendering proposals with optimal solutions.
Attend tender meetings and present technical solutions confidently.
Prepare design reports and close consultant comments.
Track record in large-scale ground improvement works (infrastructure, marine, industrial projects).
Strong knowledge of soil mechanics, foundation engineering, and ground improvement methods.
Software proficiency required: CLiq, Settle3, PLAXIS (GeoStudio is an advantage).
Excellent communication, leadership, and report-writing skills.
Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks, and deliver on deadlines.
Membership in a recognized engineering body (e.g., ICE, ISSMGE, ASCE) is an advantage.
