About the Role
A leading contracting company in Dubai is seeking an experienced Construction Manager – MEP to oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) systems across high-profile building and infrastructure projects.This role requires strong technical expertise, leadership capabilities, and a proven track record of delivering complex MEP packages in fast-paced construction environments.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage all aspects of MEP construction activities on-site, ensuring delivery in accordance with design, schedule, and quality standards.
Coordinate with project managers, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure seamless integration of MEP systems with overall project works.
Review and interpret MEP designs, drawings, and specifications; provide technical guidance as needed.
Monitor site progress, conduct inspections, and proactively resolve technical or execution issues.
Ensure all MEP works comply with local regulations, safety standards, and environmental guidelines.
Manage procurement and timely delivery of MEP materials and equipment.
Oversee testing, commissioning, and handover of all MEP systems.
Prepare regular progress reports and update project stakeholders on MEP status.
Lead and mentor MEP site teams and subcontractors, ensuring effective workforce coordination.
Requirements:
RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or related discipline).
Minimum 10 years of experience in MEP construction, with at least 5 years in a similar leadership role in the UK or GCC.
Proven experience on mid- to large-scale commercial, residential, or mixed-use developments.
Strong understanding of HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, fire protection, and BMS.
Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities on fast-track projects.
Preferred Candidate
Background in working for Tier-1 or reputable contracting firms in the region.
Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, AutoCAD).
Fluent in English
PMP or equivalent certification is an advantage.
