Job Description
Euro Mechanical is looking for a Contracts Engineer.
The Contracts Engineer will play a key role in coordinating contractual affairs across all phases of EPC projects, from tendering and award to execution and close-out. The role requires close coordination with internal stakeholders, including the Estimation, Tendering, Project Controls, and Project Management teams, as well as with external stakeholders (clients and subcontractors).
Job Responsibilities:
Tender Stage Support:
- Review tender documents to identify contractual qualifications, deviations and high-risk conditions.
- Support the Estimation and Tendering team in preparing contractual clarifications/deviations ensuring that all contractual obligations are well understood and addressed prior to bid submission.
- Participate in pre-bid meetings and support proposal lead in risk assessment and mitigation planning.
- Provide recommendations on improvement of proposal processes to ensure compliance, transparency and traceability.
Post-Award / Execution Stage:
- Administer the contract handover to project team ensuring full compliance with contractual terms and conditions.
- Support project managers to substantiate variations, claims, extensions of time, and change orders.
- Prepare and review contractual correspondences (including notices/claims, filings and risk register).
- Support project management in negotiations with clients and subcontractors on contractual and compliance matters.
- Maintain a register of contractual risks, obligations, and deliverables, ensuring proactive monitoring and control.
Close-Out:
- Assist in project close-out and final account settlement, ensuring all contractual obligations are fulfilled and documented.
- Support lessons-learned sessions for continuous improvement in contract administration and tendering practices.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 to 7 years of experience in contract management within the EPC sector, preferably with exposure to both tendering and project execution stages.
- Proven, hands-on experience working with ADNOC and major EPC contractors in the UAE or wider GCC region.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interpret, draft, and negotiate contractual documents.
- Experience of EDMS review/interpretation of engineering documents/drawings.
- Strong drafting, stakeholder coordination, and record-keeping.
