Senior Mechanical Engineer (Offshore)

Job Description

• Lead mechanical engineering activities for offshore oil and gas projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project specifications.
• Provide expertise in FEED and detailed design for mechanical systems, including HVAC, piping, pressure vessels, and other offshore equipment.
• Review and validate mechanical designs, ensuring they are cost-effective, safe, and meet project requirements.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate mechanical systems with other project components.
• Oversee the selection, specification, and procurement of mechanical equipment and materials.
• Ensure that all mechanical design work adheres to relevant codes, standards, and safety regulations.
• Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and technical evaluations to support design decisions.
• Monitor the progress of engineering design work, providing technical guidance and leadership to junior engineers and project teams.
• Prepare and review technical reports, design documentation, and project deliverables.
• Provide on-site engineering support during installation, commissioning, and operation phases.

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
• At least 15 years of experience in the oil and gas sector, with significant experience in offshore projects.
• Strong background in FEED and detailed design for mechanical systems in offshore facilities.
• Proficient in engineering design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar).
• Solid understanding of mechanical equipment, systems, and materials used in offshore oil and gas operations.
• In-depth knowledge of international design codes and standards for offshore oil and gas engineering.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
