Job Description
Organization Unit PurposeRBWM Finance Unit manages all the Finance related activities for RBWM business of the Bank by setting up/driving the performance, planning & budgeting and financial reporting & controls related to RBWM business in EI. The Unit assists Finance in business performance, financial accounting & reporting and in investor relationship activities.
Job Purpose
The job holder is part of the RBWM Business Finance team responsible for providing insightful Finance support to the Segment Heads in RBWM business in key tactical and strategic decision making. The job holder will support the Segments business teams to provide analytics and support decision making and ensuring that financial policies and control framework are consistently applied across the segments in CWM business units.
Responsibilities
Work closely with key stakeholders within the Segment teams (Mass, Priority and Business Banking) to ensure that management information produced remains relevant and aids decision making.Research and resolve data issues and answer finance related queries from Business Heads & other stakeholders.Work closely with the AVP- Business finance CWM and Segment heads in developing a robust and ambitious medium-term strategy covering all key opportunities and risks.Establish a planning framework which links to the medium-term strategy and enables modeling of key drivers of revenues and costs thereby facilitating accurate multi-year rolling forecasts.Establish and sustain alignment between Product and Segment revenuesEstablish and maintain a robust challenge process for business cases submitted by the Segment teams while at the same time ensuring efficient response times.Establish and maintain a robust post implementation review process for all material investments spends within the Segments teamsEstablish a framework for providing a clear and transparent analysis of costs across various levels within the Segment Direct CostsEstablish a process for business unit heads to fully understand and challenge costs both internally and externally.
Knowledge / Skill
A qualified accountant or an MBA with specialization in FinanceBetween 8-12 years of post-qualification experience in the Finance function of a large bank with exposure to business financeExposure to retail bankingA thorough understanding of finance concepts, business performance management and planning.Strong written and oral communication skills and ability to interact at senior management levels.A thorough understanding of finance concepts, business performance management and planning.
