AV Technician

Job description
We are looking for a skilled and motivated AV Technician to support the setup, operation, and maintenance of audio-visual equipment across our school. The successful candidate will ensure that all AV resources are available, functional, and meet the highest standards to support teaching, learning, and events.
Key responsibilities:
- Set up, operate, and troubleshoot AV equipment, including projectors, microphones, sound systems, lighting, and video conferencing tools.
- Provide on-site technical support for school events, assemblies, meetings, and productions.
- Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and minor repairs of AV equipment.
- Assist in planning and implementing new AV installations and upgrades.
- Train staff and students in the proper use of AV equipment as needed.
- Maintain an inventory of AV equipment and supplies.
Skills
Qualifications & experience:
- Proven experience as an AV Technician or in a similar technical support role.
- Strong understanding of AV systems, including sound, lighting, and video technologies.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Good organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work flexibly, including occasional evenings and weekends for school events.
- Certification or formal training in AV technology is an advantage.
